Job Description

About the role

Reporting to the South Australian Regional Manager, the Site Engineer will be responsible in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities on site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and in compliance with safety and quality standards. You will work in a close-knit team, with the Regional Manager and Supervisor, to ensure smooth operations.

Duties

  • Manage and supervise construction activities on site.
  • Monitor work progress, ensuring that the project is on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality control are maintained.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and project plans.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays that arise on site.
  • Ensure that all site work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with design and planning teams to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Provide technical support to site teams and ensure work is carried out according to plans and specifications.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Experience within the Civil Construction industry, understanding of construction projects, work activities, resources etc.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience within the Civil Construction industry
