Desired Skills and Experience
About the Role
We are seeking a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Fitter to join our Townsville Depot. The responsibilities will include maintenance and servicing of general and specialised road construction equipment and trucks including major overhauls and motor rebuilds as well as workshop-related administrative duties.
Duties:
Ability to work unsupervised
Demonstrated ability to develop effective and productive working relationships;
A commitment to safe work practices producing quality workmanship within the required timeframe;
Be available to travel throughout WA, and possibly interstate,
Ability to work various work hours depending on work load as required
Well-developed communication skills along with a team-oriented outlook.
Skills & Experience:
Working towards an Australian Recognised relevant trade certificates and qualifications
Maintenance and Servicing experience on small and large equipment
Previous experience working in planned and reactive maintenance environments, diagnosis, overhaul and maintenance repairs of heavy mobile plant and equipment.
Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
