Job Description

About the role

Reporting to the Tasmanian Regional Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for project delivery outcomes and the reporting of SPA’s Civil and Stabilisation projects. 

This position is responsible for the delivery of allocated projects including financial, operational, programming, subcontractor management and QSE objectives. You may also be involved in the preparation of estimates and tender bids giving you full ownership of the project cycle. This is a client facing role where you will be encouraged to use your own approach in forging positive long term client relationships while delivering successful projects plus other broader SPA business promotion activities.

Skills & experience

  • 7 years civil/pavement construction experience
  • Engineering or Project Management qualifications (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects to budget
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and display initiative as well as meet deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
